Terms and Conditions for conference fee payments for the Conference “Facing disruption. Challenges to Bioethics, Human Rights and Democracy”, the annual conference of the European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics, which will be held at University of Warsaw, 14-16 September 2023.
I. GENERAL TERMS

further called “The host” hereby confirms of being an owner of the eacme2023.filozofia.uw.edu.pl website.
Center for Bioethics and Biolaw at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw (further called “CBB”) is the organizer of the Conference “Facing disruption. Challenges to Bioethics, Human Rights and Democracy”, the annual conference of the European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME) which will be held on 14-16 September 2023 at Krakowskie Przedmieście 3 and Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, 00-927 Warszawa.
II. PAYMENT
1. The Participant in obliged to pay the Conference participation fee according to the following:
a) for EACME Member – 350 EUR before 19th June and 425 EUR after 19th June;
b) non-EACME Member – 400 EUR before 19th June and 475 EUR after 19th June;
c) Eastern Europe and Low Income Countries – 250 EUR before 19th June and 325 EUR after 19th June;
d) PhD Student/Resident Doctor – 225 EUR before 19th June and 300 EUR after 19th June;
e) Accompanying person – 130 EUR.
2. The condition for participation in the conference is registering through the conference website and paying the relevant conference fee. The registration fee covers:
a) the welcome reception;
b) lunches;
c) the refreshments during breaks;
d) the conference dinner;
e) conference materials.
3. The fee for accompanying persons covers:
a) welcome reception;
b) conference dinner.
4. The payments should be made through PayU system at the conference website or directly to University of Warsaw bank account. Online payments are being operated and assured by PayU. The PayU payment is automatically transferred to University of Warsaw bank account. Neither the CBB, nor Faculty of Philosophy, nor the University of Warsaw, receive any information related to the credit card or CVV number of the Participant.

III. REFUND POLICY
1. The Participant may resign from his/her participation in the Conference via e-mail eacme2023@uw.edu.pl.
2. In case of resignation after 15th August, the conference fee is not refundable.
IV. COMPLAINT PROCEEDINGS
1. Complaints may be filed in the form of an electronic message sent to the address eacme2023@uw.edu.pl. The message shall indicate the reasons underlying the complaint.
2. The complaint will be processed within 14 days if no further information is required. The Participant will be informed about the outcome via electronic mail.
V. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. The registration means the acceptance of processing of personal data by the Host for the purposes of the Conference and of the principles resulting from generally applicable law, with particular emphasis on The General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and The Act of 10 May 2018 on the Protection of Personal Data (unified text: Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781 with further amendments). The data will be processed by the University of Warsaw (NIP 525-001-12-66, REGON 000001258). Data provision is voluntary but is required to participate in the Conference. The participant is authorized to see and modify their data.

3. The Host does not take responsibility for any damage caused by the provision of incorrect data or other type of irregularities on the part of the Participants.
4. In matters not provided for by the Rules of Procedure, the relevant Polish laws shall apply.
